The software's installer may refuse to run claiming that Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 is required. The software itself claims to require .NET Framework 4.6.2.
NOTE: The .NET Framework 4.8.1 installer doesn't support Windows 7!

Interestingly, the installer ZIP file contains the "NDP462-KB3151800-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU.exe" Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2 offline installer inside of it (with a slightly different size / checksum?)...
On Windows 7, you may also need to update the trusted root certificates:
