Overview

Yaskawa Sigma-II family servos designed to work with Yaskawa SGDH Series Servo Drives (SERVOPACKs). They have proprietary serial encoders, which makes them difficult/impossible to use with standard servo drives.

Model Numbers

  • Page 29 (Page 28 in the PDF) shows the motor specifications.
  • Page 40 (Page 39 in the PDF) shows the model number scheme.

Wiring Diagram

  • Page 31 (Page 30 in the PDF) shows the encoder and power connector pinouts.
  • Pages 188-192 (Pages 187-191 in the PDF) show the overall connection diagram.
  • Page 195 (Page 194 in the PDF) shows the encoder/power connections to the servo drive.

Replacement Parts

Cables

  • Page 42 (Page 41 in the PDF) shows a table of pre-made cables.
  • Page 43 (Page 42 in the PDF) shows a table of connectors (Yaskawa part numbers?).

In the Artisan Technology Group provided datasheet:

  • Page 19 (180 in the PDF) shows a table of the connectors.
