Overview

Servo drives made by Yaskawa.

Page 381 (page 371 in the PDF) tells the differences between the newer SGDA and the older SGD series SERVOPACKs.

Model Numbers

SGD-xxyS are for speed/torque mode, and SGD-xxxP are for position mode. The 'xx' has to do with the power, and the 'y' letter has to do with the voltage.

Software

It seems there is some old software called SVMON that can interact with the servo drive over a serial cable connected to the "Operator" DE9 connector:
