Fanuc Alpha Series SVM (Servo Amplifier Module). It uses 3x PWM signals (one for each phase), 2x current feedback signals (3rd one calculated), and passes through the serial encoder pins to the controller. It does not close the velocity/position loop, nor is it responsible for correct commutation. It is a &amp;quot;dumb&amp;quot; amplifier, relying on the controller to monitor the absolute encoder and current feedback and generate the appropriate phase/amplitude sine waves.&lt;br /&gt;
